MEDICATIONS OF CONCERN FOR EXERCISE STRESS TESTING
If your doctor has said that that certain heart drugs (in the list below) should be stopped, please stop taking them for 48 hours before and during your stress test (Day 2: Stress Study for myocardial perfusion imaging). If you haven’t already done so, please let us know if you are on any of the following medications prior to starting the study:
Beta Blockers
- Acebutolol (Monitan, Rhotral, Sectral)
- Atenolol (Tenormin)
- Bisoprolol (Monocor)
- Carvedilol (Coreg)
- Labetolol (Normodyne)
- Metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL, Lopressor SR)
- Nadolol (Corgard)
- Oxprenolol (Trasicor)
- Pindolol (Visken)
- Propranolol (Inderal)
- Sotalol (Sotacor)
- Timolol (Blocadren)
Calcium-Channel Blockers
- Diltiazam (Cardizem CD/SR)
- Felodipine (Plendil, Renedil)
- Verapamil (Isoptin Chronovera)
